Day 7: City of Angels

What an amazing, and long day we had today! My dad came over at 6am so Chris and I could do a quick 3 mile run, then we got the kids up, showered, and out the door to set out on our tour of L.A. First up was the Santa Monica Pier, there we rode the rides, had some hot dogs and hamburgers and went on the beach. After that we made our way to Griffith Observatory to see the Hollywood Sign, what a view from up there... WOW! Then to Hollywood Blvd to go park at the Kodak Theater, what cheap parking, 2 dollars for 2 hours! We went straight to The Disney Soda Fountain Shop and Store where we all got ice cream treats, yummy! Right next door is the El Capitain Theater where they have the premiers for the Disney Movies and other special viewings. Across the street and down just a bit is the Chinese Theater where we looked at all the signatures and hand prints, that was cool. We walked down the Hollywood Walk of Fame and spotted some of our fave celebrities Stars... again, super cool. Our two hours was just about up so back to the car we went to drive around L.A. a bit more, this time to Beverly Hills. It is amazing as you drive down Santa Monica Blvd (Route 66) and you hit Beverly Hills, the look immediatly changes to well manicured lawns and beautiful houses. After spotting some expensive cars and seeing the shops on Rodeo Dr. we headed to dinner at the famous Canters Deli! Matzo Ball Soup and Salami sandwhich on pumpernickle for me, it was delish. After our filling dinner we drove back to our Disneyland resort and got ready for bed, boy were we tired after such a fun and exciting day. Tmrw up early for Early Magic Hours at California Adventure Park, Radiator Spring Racers here we come!
